The COVID-19 Scholar Peer Hub is a digital network hosted by The Geneva Learning Foundation (TGLF). In April 2020, during the COVID-19 outbreak, the network convened members working in the area of immunisation at sub-national and national levels whose activities had been affected by the pandemic.
Through the Peer Hub platform, TGLF supported network members to generate and share ideas and practices for supporting immunisation work across health system levels, organisational boundaries and country borders.
In this Lightning Chat, TGLF discuss these locally-grounded strategies with Prof. Heidi J. Larson, an anthropologist and Director of The Vaccine Confidence Project (VCP) at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (LSHTM).
The Chat serves as a follow-up to a workshop held a few months before COVID-19 vaccine began to reach countries in Africa, where Prof. Larson met members of the COVID-19 Peer Hub who had just completed developing case studies of how they successfully overcame vaccine hesitancy.
