Building Confidence in Routine Immunisation

The UNICEF Regional Office for Europe and Central Asia (UNICEF ECARO) and the VCP worked in partnership to better understand the impact of social media on caregivers’ attitudes, beliefs, trust, immunisation intention and uptake.

Kazakhstan

Vaccine confidence in Kazakhstan is high compared to other countries. The latest data we have for Kazakhstan is from surveys conducted in 2019 which showed that 65% of people feel that vaccines are safe and 72% think they are effective. 82% of those surveyed said they believe it’s important for children to have vaccines and 68% feel that vaccines are compatible with their religious beliefs.
