Vaccine confidence in Albania is high1 compared to other countries. The latest data we have for Albania is from surveys conducted in 2019 which showed that 82% of people feel that vaccines are safe and 72% think they are effective. 86% of those surveyed said they believe it’s important for children to have vaccines and 68% feel that vaccines are compatible with their religious beliefs.
Confidence in the safety of vaccines in Albania has increased since the first surveys carried out there. In 2018, 62% of people felt that vaccines were safe. However, confidence in the effectiveness of vaccines has decreased by 1% (from 73%- 72%). There has also been an 11% decrease in the percentage of respondents who said they believed it was important for children to have vaccines .
