The latest data we have for Belgium is from surveys conducted in 2022 which showed that 75% of people feel that vaccines are safe and 79% think they are effective. 72% of those surveyed said they believe it’s important for children to have vaccines and 74% feel that vaccines are compatible with their religious beliefs.
Confidence in vaccines in Belgium has declined since the first surveys carried out there. In 2015, 79% of people felt that vaccines were safe while 90% thought they were effective. 94% said they believed it was important for children to have vaccines and 63% felt that vaccines were compatible with their religious beliefs.
