Vaccine confidence in Burkina Faso is very high1 compared to other countries. The latest data we have for Burkina Faso is from surveys conducted in 2020 which showed that 83% of people feel that vaccines are safe and 85% think they are effective. 93% of those surveyed said they believe it’s important for children to have vaccines and 94% feel that vaccines are compatible with their religious beliefs.

Confidence in vaccines in Burkina Faso has declined since the first surveys carried out there. In 2016, 87% of people felt that vaccines were safe while 95% thought they were effective. 99% said they believed it was important for children to have vaccines.
