Vaccine confidence in Bulgaria is average1 compared to other countries. The latest data we have for Bulgaria is from surveys conducted in 2022 which showed that 58% of people feel that vaccines are safe and 65% think they are effective. 63% of those surveyed said they believe it’s important for children to have vaccines and 67% feel that vaccines are compatible with their religious beliefs.

Confidence in vaccines in Bulgaria has declined since the first surveys carried out there. In 2015, 70% of people felt that vaccines were safe while 76% thought they were effective. 79% said they believed it was important for children to have vaccines and 75% felt that vaccines were compatible with their religious beliefs.
