The latest data we have for the Democratic Republic of the Congo is from surveys conducted in 2022 which showed that 65% of people feel that vaccines are safe and 65% think they are effective. 73% of those surveyed said they believe it’s important for children to have vaccines and 62% feel that vaccines are compatible with their religious beliefs.
Confidence in vaccines in the Democratic Republic of the Congo has declined since the first surveys carried out there. In 2015, 83% of people felt that vaccines were safe while 89% thought they were effective. 94% said they believed it was important for children to have vaccines and 82% felt that vaccines were compatible with their religious beliefs.
