Vaccine confidence in Germany is high1 compared to other countries. The latest data we have for Germany is from surveys conducted in 2022 which showed that 83% of people feel that vaccines are safe and 87% think they are effective. 81% of those surveyed said they believe it’s important for children to have vaccines and 83% feel that vaccines are compatible with their religious beliefs.

Confidence in vaccines in Germany has declined since the first surveys carried out there. In 2015, 88% of people felt that vaccines were safe while 91% thought they were effective. 92% said they believed it was important for children to have vaccines and 76% felt that vaccines were compatible with their religious beliefs.
