Vaccine confidence in the United Kingdom is high1 compared to other countries. The latest data we have for the United Kingdom is from surveys conducted in 2020 which showed that 83% of people feel that vaccines are safe and 85% think they are effective. 83% of those surveyed said they believe it’s important for children to have vaccines and 75% feel that vaccines are compatible with their religious beliefs.

Confidence in vaccines in the United Kingdom has declined since the first surveys carried out there. In 2015, 84% of people felt that vaccines were safe while 87% thought they were effective. 90% said they believed it was important for children to have vaccines and 71% felt that vaccines were compatible with their religious beliefs.
