Vaccine confidence in Indonesia is high1 compared to other countries. The latest data we have for Indonesia is from surveys conducted in 2022 which showed that 83% of people feel that vaccines are safe and 84% think they are effective. 78% of those surveyed said they believe it’s important for children to have vaccines and 68% feel that vaccines are compatible with their religious beliefs.

Confidence in vaccines in Indonesia has declined since the first surveys carried out there. In 2015, 96% of people felt that vaccines were safe while 92% thought they were effective. 97% said they believed it was important for children to have vaccines and 86% felt that vaccines were compatible with their religious beliefs.
