Vaccine confidence in the Republic of Korea is low1 compared to other countries. The latest data we have for the Republic of Korea is from surveys conducted in 2022 which showed that 54% of people feel that vaccines are safe and 62% think they are effective. 48% of those surveyed said they believe it’s important for children to have vaccines and 56% feel that vaccines are compatible with their religious beliefs.
Confidence in vaccines in the Republic of Korea has declined since the first surveys carried out there. In 2015, 90% of people felt that vaccines were safe while 92% thought they were effective. 95% said they believed it was important for children to have vaccines and 77% felt that vaccines were compatible with their religious beliefs.
