Vaccine confidence in Luxembourg is very high1 compared to other countries. The latest data we have for Luxembourg is from surveys conducted in 2022 which showed that 85% of people feel that vaccines are safe and 92% think they are effective. 86% of those surveyed said they believe it’s important for children to have vaccines and 83% feel that vaccines are compatible with their religious beliefs.

Since the first surveys were carried out in Luxembourg in 2018, confidence in the safety of vaccines has decreased, with 87% of people regarding vaccines were safe. Confidence in the importance of vaccines for children has also decreased, with 93% regarding vaccines as important for children in 2018. However, confidence in the effectiveness and religious compatibility of vaccines has increased, with 90% of people regarding vaccines as effective in 2018, and 81% regarding vaccines as compatible with their religious beliefs.
