Vaccine confidence in Mexico is very high1 compared to other countries. The latest data we have for Mexico is from surveys conducted in 2022 which showed that 93% of people feel that vaccines are safe and 93% think they are effective. 94% of those surveyed said they believe it’s important for children to have vaccines and 80% feel that vaccines are compatible with their religious beliefs.

Confidence in vaccines in Mexico has increased since the first surveys carried out there. In 2015, 85% of people felt that vaccines were safe while 85% thought they were effective. 88% said they believed it was important for children to have vaccines and 72% felt that vaccines were compatible with their religious beliefs.
