The latest data we have for Malaysia is from surveys conducted in 2022 which showed that 69% of people feel that vaccines are safe and 71% think they are effective. 67% of those surveyed said they believe it’s important for children to have vaccines and 64% feel that vaccines are compatible with their religious beliefs.
Confidence in vaccines in Malaysia has increased since the first surveys carried out there. In 2018, 56% of people felt that vaccines were safe while 55% thought they were effective. 58% said they believed it was important for children to have vaccines.
