The latest data we have for Panama is from surveys conducted in 2018 which showed that 75% of people feel that vaccines are safe and 72% think they are effective. 83% of those surveyed said they believe it’s important for children to have vaccines.
Confidence in vaccines in Panama has declined since the first surveys carried out there. In 2015, 91% of people felt that vaccines were safe while 93% thought they were effective. 98% said they believed it was important for children to have vaccines and 71% felt that vaccines were compatible with their religious beliefs.
