Vaccine confidence in Romania is high1 compared to other countries. The latest data we have for Romania is from surveys conducted in 2022 which showed that 78% of people feel that vaccines are safe and 82% think they are effective. 84% of those surveyed said they believe it’s important for children to have vaccines and 76% feel that vaccines are compatible with their religious beliefs.

Confidence in vaccines in Romania has remained steady since the first surveys carried out there. In 2015, 74% of people felt that vaccines were safe while 80% thought they were effective. 85% said they believed it was important for children to have vaccines and 82% felt that vaccines were compatible with their religious beliefs.
