Vaccine confidence in Saudi Arabia is very high1 compared to other countries. The latest data we have for Saudi Arabia is from surveys conducted in 2020 which showed that 90% of people feel that vaccines are safe and 91% think they are effective. 90% of those surveyed said they believe it’s important for children to have vaccines and 85% feel that vaccines are compatible with their religious beliefs.
Confidence in vaccines in Saudi Arabia has declined since the first surveys carried out there. In 2015, 98% of people felt that vaccines were safe while 96% thought they were effective. 98% said they believed it was important for children to have vaccines and 95% felt that vaccines were compatible with their religious beliefs.
