Vaccine confidence in Syria is high1 compared to other countries. The latest data we have for Syria is from surveys conducted in 2022 which showed that 73% of people feel that vaccines are safe and 74% think they are effective. 77% of those surveyed said they believe it’s important for children to have vaccines and 72% feel that vaccines are compatible with their religious beliefs.

Confidence in vaccines in Syria has declined since the first surveys carried out there. In 2019, 96% of people felt that vaccines were safe while 96% thought they were effective. 96% said they believed it was important for children to have vaccines and 86% felt that vaccines were compatible with their religious beliefs.
