Vaccine confidence in Thailand is very high1 compared to other countries. The latest data we have for Thailand is from surveys conducted in 2019 which showed that 98% of people feel that vaccines are safe and 98% think they are effective. 99% of those surveyed said they believe it’s important for children to have vaccines and 52% feel that vaccines are compatible with their religious beliefs.
Confidence in vaccines in Thailand has increased since the first surveys carried out there. In 2015, 93% of people felt that vaccines were safe while 92% thought they were effective. 98% said they believed it was important for children to have vaccines and 42% felt that vaccines were compatible with their religious beliefs.
