Vaccine confidence in Ukraine is very low1 compared to other countries. The latest data we have for Ukraine is from surveys conducted in 2018 which showed that 28% of people feel that vaccines are safe and 47% think they are effective. 72% of those surveyed said they believe it’s important for children to have vaccines.
Confidence in vaccines in Ukraine has declined since the first surveys carried out there. In 2015, 66% of people felt that vaccines were safe while 76% thought they were effective. 82% said they believed it was important for children to have vaccines and 84% felt that vaccines were compatible with their religious beliefs.
