Vaccine confidence in the United States of America is high1 compared to other countries. The latest data we have for the United States of America is from surveys conducted in 2022 which showed that 73% of people feel that vaccines are safe and 77% think they are effective. 79% of those surveyed said they believe it’s important for children to have vaccines and 54% feel that vaccines are compatible with their religious beliefs.

Confidence in vaccines in the United States of America has declined since the first surveys carried out there. In 2015, 81% of people felt that vaccines were safe while 86% thought they were effective. 86% said they believed it was important for children to have vaccines and 74% felt that vaccines were compatible with their religious beliefs.
