The latest data we have for Uruguay is from surveys conducted in 2022 which showed that 86% of people feel that vaccines are safe and 88% think they are effective. 86% of those surveyed said they believe it’s important for children to have vaccines and 64% feel that vaccines are compatible with their religious beliefs.
Confidence in vaccines in Uruguay has increased since the first surveys carried out there. In 2018, 70% of people felt that vaccines were safe while 72% thought they were effective. 91% said they believed it was important for children to have vaccines.
