Biography
Dr Clarissa Simas is a psychologist and medical anthropologist and was a Research Fellow with the Vaccine Confidence Project at LSHTM until 2022, leading projects exploring public confidence and attitudes towards Zika, HPV and COVID-19 vaccines . Her research investigates public acceptance of health interventions, with a particular focus on vaccine confidence in South America, risk perceptions and psychogenic adverse reactions to vaccines globally.
