Mr. Siyuan Chen is currently serving as a Junior Data Scientist at the Laboratory of Data Discovery for Health (D24H), under the guidance of Dr. Leesa Lin. His research is dedicated to leveraging Artificial Intelligence (AI) in healthcare. His notable projects encompass the creation of advanced tools for health condition identification and applications utilizing large language models, with a specific focus on age prediction, food classification, nutrition estimation, and the development of vaccine confidence chatbots.
These applications are crucial in monitoring dietary habits and physiological cycles, with an emphasis on women’s health, which significantly contributes to enhancing public health awareness and vaccine confidence. From pioneering accessible models for at-home diabetes prediction to improving early self-diagnosis, Siyuan has now expanded his expertise to include chatbot development. This has allowed him to deepen his proficiency in machine learning, deep learning, and data analytics, all of which are integral to the continuous improvement of healthcare services.
